What We Collect

When you request a free resource (scripts, playbook, templates, etc.), we collect:

  • Your name (first and last)
  • Your email address
  • Your approximate location (city, state/region, and ZIP code) — we look this up automatically via your IP address using ipapi.co. This data is used to personalize email content with state-specific information relevant to your debt situation. You are not asked to enter this manually.
  • The page you signed up from (so we know which resource you requested)

We do not collect:

  • Payment information (we sell nothing)
  • Social Security numbers or financial account numbers
  • Health or medical information
  • Data from third-party sources about your actual debts

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  1. Send you the free resource you requested
  2. Send occasional email updates with new guides, tools, and relevant information about debt negotiation
  3. Personalize email content based on your location (e.g., state-specific statute of limitations, local attorney general contact information)

We do not use your information to:

  • Sell or rent your information to any third party
  • Target you with advertising
  • Contact you by phone (we only have your email)
  • Share your information with creditors or debt collectors (we would never)

Third-Party Services

Brevo (Email Service)

We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to manage our email list and send emails. When you sign up, your name, email, and location data are stored in Brevo's systems. Brevo is GDPR-compliant and does not sell subscriber data. You can view Brevo's privacy policy at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/.

ipapi.co (Location Lookup)

When you submit a form, we make a request to ipapi.co to look up your approximate city, state, and ZIP code based on your IP address. This lookup happens in your browser, and only the result (city/state/ZIP) is stored — your IP address is not stored by us. You can view ipapi.co's privacy policy at ipapi.co/privacy/.

Cloudflare Pages (Hosting)

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may log access requests (IP address, requested URL, timestamp) for security and performance purposes. These logs are retained per Cloudflare's standard data retention policies.

Google Fonts

This site uses Google Fonts (Playfair Display, Merriweather, Inter, Courier Prime) served directly from Google's CDN. Google may log font requests per their privacy policy.

Cookies

Currently, this site does not set any cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. Cloudflare may set a security cookie. We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service that tracks individual users.

If we add display advertising in the future (planned for a later phase), we will update this policy and provide appropriate consent mechanisms.

Your Rights (California — CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to Know: You can request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to Delete: You can request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell personal information. There is nothing to opt out of.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA rights.

Your Rights (General)

  • Unsubscribe: Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Click it and you're off the list immediately.
  • Data deletion: To have your data removed from our systems and Brevo, email us at the address below with "Delete My Data" in the subject line. We will process this within 30 days.
  • Data access: You can request a copy of the data we have about you. Email us with "Data Access Request" in the subject line.

Data Retention

We retain your email and associated information for as long as you remain subscribed to our list. When you unsubscribe, your contact information is removed from active lists within 10 days. If you request data deletion, we will remove your information from our systems and Brevo within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be noted in our email newsletter.
